- Staff development - The training, mentoring and provision of career advancement opportunities to all employees, in particular to those who have been previously disadvantaged.
- Affirmative action - The preferential employment of skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled candidates from historically disadvantaged communities.
- Shareholder activism - The promotion of broad-based empowerment and internal cultural transformation in companies that Element Investment Managers invests in on behalf of its clients through advocacy, engagement and the use of shareholder rights.
- Procurement - The preferential allocation of our procurement to suppliers who come from historically disadvantaged groups, and their fair treatment.
- Client relationships - The development of capacity among institutional clients on shareholder activism and proxy voting.
