STEINHOFF: Passive Managers in Glass Houses...!

The Steinhoff share price collapse began in earnest on 6 December 2017 with the share price dropping more than -60% on the day (see share price chart below). This capitulation was triggered by the CEO’s resignation late at night on 5 December 2017 as a result of a delay in the release of the company’s 2017 audited financial statements, owing to “accounting irregularities” that are now being investigated.
